Andover Leisure Centre goes interactive
Andover Leisure Centre in Hampshire has gone interactive, installing the latest computer games that make you sweat by ZigZag.
The centre, run by the Leisure Trust Valley Leisure Limited, has invested in eight Machine Dance platforms and four Sportwall target panels for its interactive gym.
An exciting programme of activities has been launched for the summer holidays, and during term time classes will be on offer after school and at weekends, as well as special party sessions. These interactive sessions will run alongside the centre’s already popular children’s programme, which includes swimming, badminton, squash, teen gym, football coaching, gymnastics and more.
Steve Vincent, Marketing Manager for Valley Leisure said: “Most of our existing kid’s activities are traditional sports, so it’s great to offer something new that will attract a wider section of participants from this age range. We are particularly excited about these fun and challenging dance platforms. This unique group exercise is a game of perceptive and physical skill that is simple to learn, exciting to play and offers users a wide range of levels to achieve a perfect wholesome exercise gaming experience.
“The new Sportwalls are great fun too. They offer countless different games based on points/lives won and lost. Children get to score points against the clock by zapping the lights on the panels, but rather than doing it in the comfort of an armchair, it incorporates fun with physical activity.”
Valley Leisure will also be working with local schools to offer curriculum based PE sessions during school hours.
